Since the start of The True Gem company, the Love Stories received by our community have been an integral part of who we are and what we stand for. Reading through these Love Stories has left our team feeling as though WE are the ones on the receiving end of it all. So thank you, from all of us, for being so raw and real. It has been a truly humbling experience for us to read your stories and celebrate with you in this way, and we are excited to now be able to share that experience with our very own True Gem community, the authors of the Love Stories themselves!

We hope you enjoy reading these Love Stories as much as we have. We feel honored to be able to celebrate love with each and every one of you!

We met through our church worship team. Although we both found each other attractive upon first impression, we didn't actually get to know one another until years later. It all happened at a church beach trip. We both went down to the water at the same time. What began as an innocent dip in the ocean became a deep and meaningful conversation, where I eventually asked for Stephanie's phone number.

We spoke for a month and prayed about our relationship, and decided to officially begin dating! Most of our dates consisted of getting bubble tea, soup dumplings, and we also enjoyed playing music together. We faced a rough patch in the early days of our relationship, but once we broke through that barrier, we knew with certainty that we were the one for each other.

We talked about what kind of engagement ring we'd like to get, and both agreed that we didn't want to break the bank for a ring. Steph's friends had gotten rings from The True Gem before, and she fell in love with the Jennie Solitaire for its elegance and classic beauty. After our one year anniversary, I met Steph's parents for the first time and they gave their blessing for our relationship. Soon after that, I began planning the engagement.

Little did she know, I had purchased the ring months in advance, fully aware that I would ask Steph to marry me one day. When the time came for proposing, I knew I wanted to include feet washing as part of the ceremony: something that Jesus did for his closest disciples and something the bible urges Christians to do. I felt like this was a sign for what a husband should do: not be afraid of the hidden, dirty, or shameful things, but to be humble and seek to serve his wife first.

It was a really special moment for us and I'm so glad she said yes! The Jennie Solitaire is the ring of Steph's dreams, and we couldn't be happier with it. - Christopher

Chris told me we would celebrate his brother-in-law's birthday at night. When we went out to buy a cake for his birthday, Chris randomly pulled me into our friend’s apartment building garage (this is where we had our first date!) and then brought me upstairs where he proposed.

We couldn’t be more sure or happier with choosing this company and this ring. We are so excited for all that’s to come! - Stephanie
